I’m pleased to share our progress this month following our successful Citroën AMI road test. We’re now focused on two key areas: commercializing our Driver Agent product and further refining our autonomous algorithm.
Driver Agent Development
Product Commercialization:
We are enhancing our retrofit solution to be adaptable across various vehicle types. To achieve this, we’ve partnered with BDI — a design firm honored with iF and Red Dot awards — to develop a sleek, functional exterior. Our new design features an innovative camera system installed at the front and both sides. This system dynamically adjusts its viewing angle based on the algorithm’s attention layer; for example, when executing a right turn, the system prioritizes the right side while still scanning the left for any oncoming traffic.
Drive-by-Wire Integration:
We are developing a compact drive-by-wire system that connects to the steering wheel, accelerator, brake, clutch, and gear change mechanisms. Our goal is to ensure the vehicle remains comfortable for the driver, who can take control at any time. Our mechanical prototype, already tested on our Audi Etron, shows promising results.
Testing & Pilot Program
- Testing Track:
We will schedule a series of tests at UTAC Millbrook and Horiba Mira to validate safety and performance on city roads, using varied robotic obstacles to refine object detection and overall system reliability.
UTAC is a leading group in the field of development and validation testing, automotive homologation and new technologies related to the autonomous.
HORIBA MIRA Ltd. is an automotive engineering and development consultancy company headquartered near Nuneaton, Warwickshire, United Kingdom. It provides product engineering, research, testing, information and certification services to the automotive sector.
- Pilot Campaign:
Our prototype is now open for pre-interest registration. Selected commercial partners can install our Driver Agent at no cost, allowing their fleets to become autonomous for trial runs. Your early feedback is crucial in driving our continuous improvement.
